OUR EDUCATIONAL APPROACH

Siendo Naturaleza is an expression of our vision for a better world, and we believe that a better world will require a different kind of education.

We offer spaces for practical learning, active participation, and deep reflection. We strive to find congruence between what participants learn and how they learn. It is in the how that our students find Siendo Naturaleza a unique place to learn, where they come in contact with new realities and become themselves more fully.

The way we design and facilitate learning has the same foundation, learning in nature, as nature, and the same pillars, for global and local learners.

We learn in nature, as nature.

OUR PILLARS

Cohort model

Group of children and young women sitting in circle outdoors, observing various leaves, rocks, and notes placed on woven mat.

Learning with and from each other, participants go together on a learning journey filled with professional and personal development.

Project-based

A group of people gathered around a young tree in a forest, with one person explaining something about the tree to others.

Participants work on real projects bridging theory and practice, where they observe, uncover and prototype, becoming better equipped to enact change.

Head, heart, hands

A woman with brown hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a black hoodie, holding white flowers in a lush green garden or jungle.

Participants are invited to engage with all their senses and in different environments, taking a whole-human approach to learning.

Beautiful and useful

Group of children and adults working together planting small trees in a forested area.

We create environments that promote a culture that is respectful and in reverence of our home, the Earth, reminding us of the bountiful beauty that supports us.

Learning like you’ve never learned.
